Vitamin K (phytonadione) is well known for its role in strengthening the bones and blood clotting as one of the first lines of immune system defense. Recently, vitamin K was found to play a role in regulation of Interleukin-6, a cytokine involved in regulating inflammation and a good number of bio-markers of aging (1, 2). Vitamins K supplements are best used in all-in-one formulations with supporting nutrients, especially fats, as Vitamin Ks are fat soluble. Sources are green leafy vegetables. 1. Daming Chen. Et.
